About Elliot Smith
Elliot Smith is a Princeton University graduate and former commercial litigation attorney. In 1997, Elliot first appeared on QVC selling Pionex computers. He expanded the Pionex business to include QVCUK and QVC Germany. In 1998 Elliot broke an existing QVC record for single-day revenue, selling more than $16,000,000 of computers in a 24-hour period. Elliot left QVC in 2001 to focus on his legal career but returned to television shopping in 2002 working as a show-host. During his time as a host, Elliot produced the top sales results at the network. He also provided training for new hosts and guests. Elliot hosted featured programs like HGTV's Live from High Point and HGTV's Dream home, and his voice was later used in the Pixar animated motion picture, UP!
In 2006, Elliot started his own sales and marketing firm to help bring new brands to television shopping. Initially, he focused on consumer electronics, working with brands including Sony, Samsung, Mitsubishi, Acer, Hp and Cannon. Elliot continued to appear on-air representing these brands, and in 2007 he received an award from ShopNBC for generating the highest net-sales at the network. As the business grew, Elliot expanded into new categories including health and beauty, jewelry, home goods, toys and collectibles. To help his new vendors succeed on air, Elliot began a training program for on-air guests.
In 2012, Elliot formed Fusion Marketing Limited Liability Company. Working with partners throughout television shopping, Fusion Marketing set out to become the premier sales and marketing agency in the industry. Fusion Marketing has resources at every major television shopping network in North America and Europe and works with agencies at Wal-Mart and Target to help successful TV brands make the leap to mass retail.
